the configuration files are still there, but I still have to step by step add them in so that they get correctly integrated into the database. Same for all of the media, pages, posts, etc. Some of the content MIGHT still be around but it was the 2 months of configuring a WordPress network containing 7 sites, all the users, there permission levels, organization of the sites that was stored in the database that I can't get back.
Backup is going in place tonight! I will make sure of that
